Dramaturgy

Cassie Wicks has acted as a director, dramaturg and script editor for multiple productions.
Her academic background means she has a strong basis in the theoretical and critical side of writing, through both her MA Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and her BA in English Literature at the University of Oxford.

Her directing credits include:

  • The Rover by Aphra Behn, 2023. Director. St Hilda’s Drama Society.
  • Chance Encounters, 2023. Director and Contributor. St Hilda’s Drama Society.
  • Learning in Lockdown (Short Film). Director. City Eye Young Filmmakers.
  • Not So Far Away (Music Video). Director. The Berry Youth Theatre.
  • Pas de Deux (One-Act Play). Director. Self-Produced.

Her dramaturgical experience includes:

  • The Rover by Aphra Behn, 2023. Edited and staged a production of The Rover targeted at a contemporary audience and smaller cast.
  • Pretty Little Lawyers by Molly Dineley and Molly Evans. Gave feedback at a workshop reading in preparation for a Fringe run.
